Indian life sciences advisory company opens office in Greater Copenhagen

The Indian consulting company Wayinia has opened an affiliate office in Greater Copenhagen, more specifically in Medicon Village, the life science research park in Lund. Wayinia’s aim is to help Scandinavian health care and medtech companies enter the Indian market and to support Indian companies that seek collaborative partners in Scandinavia.

Wayinia is working with international companies around the world in the therapeutic segment including organ transplantation, nephrology, cardiac sciences and safety.

Bridgehead between India and Scandinavia

Wayinia intends to have 5 employees in Greater Copenhagen within the next 1-2 years, in addition to the 22 employees at the office in India.

In Greater Copenhagen, one of Wayinia's clients is Glycorex Transplantation, based in Southern Sweden, of which Wayinia is a main distribution partner for Indian hospitals.

Strong life science cluster

The team behind Wayinia, Ingvild Soenstegaard and Rajan Chaudhary, formerly country manager of Gambro in India, see potential in using their expertise from the life science industry and knowledge of business relations between India and Scandinavia.

“We know the Indian market and have a lot of contacts who have confidence in us. We will help companies in developing strategies to bring their products to the Indian market, to find distributors, help with product registration, compliance, and more”

Rajan Chaudhary, Director, Wayinia

Local business startup services

Wayinia reached out to Invest in Skåne and Copenhagen Capacity in 2018 requesting assistance in establishing their company in Greater Copenhagen. This resulted in a visiting programme that included meetings with relevant stakeholders and potential customers, as well as assistance with the process of registering a company in Greater Copenhagen.
